AiR 2024 / Spirits of the Future: Kristýna Businská, Ladislav Zářecký a Hana Kokšalová (CZ)

The Spirits of the Future collective focused on the reflection of their previous work and the debate on the possibilities of further trajectories of their practice.

July 1–7, 2024

The practice of the collective Spirits of the Future (Kristýna Businská, Ladislav Zářecký, Hana Kokšalová) involves exploring a vague "world" that overlaps with our own. Through the construction of specific infrastructure, they reveal the material means enabling the revelation of this layer of reality.

  • "We simply ask: Who decides the future? And to what extent does talking about it, directly or indirectly, actually mean closing it/limiting possibilities? Our project uses mediums of installation and performative walks, creating an office/laboratory space for evaluating materials collected by psychics on sites."

The collective used the time of the residency to reflect on their work and to debate the possibilities of further direction.

  • "Unclear temporalities, fate, debt, and bedding. Construction work will begin soon! Look forward!"
