The Film and Architecture festival is held annually in parallel with the Architecture Day festival. In Pardubice, this year we present a documentary film about the Czechoslovak pre-revolutionary architectural scene directed by Jan Zajíček.
The film presents the exceptional buildings built in the period from Expo 1958 to the Velvet Revolution, its authors interview their architects, reveal the stories and immense efforts behind the creation of these buildings. The documentary is a follow-up to the successful book project and series produced by Czech TV based on the theme of Vladimir 518, and compared to the aforementioned, it focuses more on the rich Slovak work.
